AvtoVAZ announced the second model of the SKM brand

AvtoVAZ's SKM brand line will soon be expanded with the new M9 model. It is planned to be produced at production sites in Nizhny Novgorod and Tolyatti. The premiere of the model will take place at the Camvex commercial transport exhibition, which will be held on May 26-29 in Moscow. This is stated in the message of AVTOVAZ, which was received by Izvestia on May 26.

The new product was developed by Promtech, a certified partner of AvtoVAZ in prototyping and mass production of light commercial vehicles and specialized vans-based vehicles. The front-wheel drive SKM M9 is equipped with a two-liter diesel engine with a capacity of 150 hp. paired with a nine-speed automatic or a six-speed manual. The model will be presented in four versions: a seven- and eight-seater minivan, a nine-seater minibus and a van.

The SKM M9 Business minivan is designed for six passengers and a driver. Five passenger seats are located at the back, one next to the driver. There is a movable table and transformable seats in the cabin. The stand features a black car with a six-speed manual.

The Transfer minivan is designed for seven passengers and a driver and features an expanded luggage compartment. In the cabin, five seats are located in the direction of travel, two seats are next to the driver. A grey model with an automatic transmission was brought to the exhibition.

The Comfort minibus has an increased length and height and is designed for nine people. There are seven passenger seats in the cabin located in the direction of travel, one next to the driver. A blue car with a nine-speed automatic transmission will be presented at the exhibition. The all-metal van SKM M9 has a useful cargo volume of 9.6 cubic meters, it was shown in white with an "automatic".

Commercial Lada Granta vehicles are also presented at the Promtech stand: a van with a payload of 5.5 cubic meters, refrigerated trucks with volumes of 3.5 and 6.7 cubic meters.

On May 18, AvtoVAZ announced the start of shipments of SKM M7 light commercial vehicles to the Lada Business dealer network. The recommended retail price of the new product starts from 2.86 million rubles. The model, which became the first in the line of the new brand, is presented in the format of both a minivan and a van. It is based on the SRM brand cars from the Chinese manufacturer Shineray.
