Six people died as a result of a fire in the Omsk region, including four minors. This was reported on May 26 in the Investigative Department (SU) of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the region.
"A criminal case has been opened in the Omsk region over a fire that killed six people, including four children. <...> A 25-year-old housewife, her one-year—old son and two daughters, aged two and five, as well as a 35-year-old friend with her 14-year-old son, died during the fire," a message on the Maks messenger said.
The fire started in a private house located in the village of Yuryevka. A criminal case has been opened into the incident under Part 3 of Article 109 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (Causing death by negligence to two or more persons).
Investigators are working at the scene. Neighbors are being interrogated, and the cause of the fire is being determined.
"During the investigation, an assessment will be given of the actions of officials of the prevention system," the department stressed.
A day earlier, five people died in a fire in a private house in Pavlovsky Posad near Moscow. According to the source of Izvestia, the fire occurred in the Textile Worker-2 farming co-op in the village of Evseevo. The bodies of three adults and two children were found at the scene, the Investigative Committee said.
