Evgenia Zinkler, an instructor in the Prevention department of the LizaAlert detachment, said on May 26 that the probability of finding a missing person alive decreases every day and after the third day of searching is about 50%.

"According to statistics, if an appeal is received during the first day, in 95% of cases a person can be found alive. On the second day, this indicator decreases to 70%, and after three days or more, to about 50%. Therefore, there is no need to delay and wait. This is the most common mistake of our applicants," Zinkler told RIA Novosti.
