Russian scientists continue to make large-scale discoveries even under unprecedented external pressure. "It is important that today, indeed, Russia is not a closed academic environment. And even in the face of unprecedented external pressure and attempts to isolate our country, scientists continue to make large-scale discoveries. It's very good," he said.

According to Medvedev, technologies and projects created on the basis of fundamental knowledge make it possible to strengthen the country's defense capability, develop the Russian economy, and improve the lives of the country's citizens.

On the same day, Medvedev said that Russia could protect its scientists working abroad, but actions aimed at intimidating them were doomed to failure.
