The Investigative Committee has launched an investigation into the death of a fisherman on the Velikaya River in the Pskov region.

In the Pustoshkinsky district of the Pskov region, an investigation is underway into the death of a man who went fishing on the Velikaya River. This is reported by the regional SU of the Investigative Committee of Russia.

According to the agency, on Sunday, May 24, the man went fishing on a boat. His body with signs of drowning was found near the village of Kopylok by local residents.

Upon the death of a person, the Investigative Committee organized an inspection. The department notes that there are no signs of violent death on the man's body.

All the circumstances of the incident are being established, the Pskov news feed writes. Based on the results of the inspection, a decision will be made to institute a criminal case.

On May 19, a man drowned while fishing in the village of Atamanovka in the Trans-Baikal Territory. The body of the deceased was found by rescuers.
