Sergunina announced the seventh Moscow Fashion Week
The seventh Moscow Fashion Week will be held from September 26 to October 1 at the Manege Central Exhibition Hall. Applications are accepted on the event's website until July 12, said Natalia Sergunina, Deputy Mayor of the capital.
"The previous seasons of the project brought together about 1,000 Russian and foreign designers. For example, thanks to the sixth Fashion Week, industry representatives have signed more than 70 partnership agreements, and the total volume of discussed transactions has exceeded 400 million rubles," Sergunina said.
The program of the event includes screenings of collections of Russian and foreign brands, lectures by leading experts and the World Fashion Shorts short film festival. Those who wish will be able to purchase clothes, shoes and accessories at the fashion market.
According to the designers, participating in the events that took place during the previous Fashion Week helped them increase brand awareness and increase sales. "In just a year, thanks to the Moscow Fashion Week, we have increased all key indicators. Sales have doubled, production capacity has increased by 110%, and revenue adds 50% after each season. We opened a boutique in a department store in the capital, gained a foothold in six regions of Russia and built long—term wholesale relationships with buyers," said Yulia Privalova, co-founder of the Tver-based women's clothing brand.
According to Oleg Levitsky, a designer from Krasnodar, one show during such a large-scale event is equivalent to about six months of regular promotion. "We recorded sales growth of 70%, increased the audience on social networks four times, attracted new partners and signed a contract with a company whose purchase volume is comparable to two average monthly brand revenues. In addition, the geography of our presence in Moscow, Krasnodar, Volgograd, Kursk, Voronezh, Ryazan, and Vladivostok has expanded," Levitsky said.
The event is organized by the Fashion Foundation with the support of the Moscow government. Since 2023, the BRICS+ Fashion Summit forum has been held under the auspices of Moscow Fashion Week. Last year, the event was attended by over 260 experts from 65 countries.
