15 "schools of the future" to open in the center of Moscow

Moscow continues to upgrade its educational infrastructure. This was announced on Monday, May 25, by Anastasia Rakova, Deputy Mayor of the capital for Social Development.

According to her, 15 "schools of the future" are planned to be built in the center of the capital, five of which will open by 2028. She noted that modern schools are becoming a multifunctional and technological environment, while many buildings from the Soviet period are outdated, the Moscow City News Agency reports. In this regard, the My School program is being implemented: 55 facilities have already been modernized, dozens more will be renovated in the coming years, and about 750 buildings are planned to be reconstructed by 2033.

Rakova added that the new schools in the center are designed for about a thousand students each and will replace the old buildings that are not subject to major repairs. They include transformable classrooms, laboratories, IT training grounds, media libraries and modern sports spaces, writes Moscow 24.
