Sales of premium cars increased in Russia in April

In April of this year, 11.6 thousand new premium segment cars were sold in Russia, which is 13% more than in April last year. This was reported on May 25 by the analytical agency Autostat. According to experts, premium cars account for a tenth of the Russian car market.

The Chinese Voyah brand became the leader of this segment, with a total of 1,741 new cars of this brand sold in the middle of spring. In second place was the BMW brand, which is not officially represented on the Russian market. Sales of new cars of the Bavarian brand reached 1503 copies.

Exeed, which was the leader in the first quarter, dropped to the third place. The result of this Chinese brand in April was 1,428 copies sold.

The top five most popular brands in the premium segment by the end of April also included Chinese Tank and Hongqi (1,411 and 1,049 units, respectively). Experts also noted the Mercedes-Benz brand (1006 units), which is not officially represented in the Russian Federation, but was able to overcome the mark of 1 thousand cars sold.

As reported on May 6, by the end of April this year, 117.5 thousand new passenger cars were sold in Russia, which is 15.1% more than in the same month of 2025. The Lada Granta model topped the Russian car market in April, and the Tenet T7 crossover of the domestic brand regained the title of the most popular SUV, ahead of the Haval Jolion.
