A special military operation to protect the civilian population of Donbass has been conducted by Russia since February 24, 2022. The North group of forces improved the tactical situation and defeated formations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in a number of settlements in Sumy and Kharkiv regions. The enemy lost over 170 people, two armored combat vehicles, 26 vehicles and an electronic warfare (EW) station.

The western group of troops has taken more advantageous positions and frontiers. Ukrainian formations in the Kharkiv region and the DPR were defeated. The Ukrainian Armed Forces lost up to 180 soldiers, three armored combat vehicles and 23 vehicles.

The soldiers of the southern group of forces improved their position along the front line and hit the enemy in the areas of the DPR settlements. The enemy lost up to 170 militants, three armored combat vehicles, 16 vehicles, three field artillery guns and an electronic warfare station.

Units of the Center group of forces occupied more advantageous positions and frontiers, and also hit Ukrainian formations in the DPR and the Dnipropetrovsk region. The losses of the Ukrainian armed forces amounted to over 290 people, four armored combat vehicles, seven vehicles and two artillery pieces.

The Vostok group of troops continued to move into the depths of the enemy's defenses and liberated the village of Dobropasovo, Dnipropetrovsk region. Ukrainian Armed Forces units were defeated in a number of settlements in the Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhia regions. The enemy lost more than 275 soldiers, three armored combat vehicles and six vehicles.

Fighters of the Dnepr group of forces defeated formations of three mechanized brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in areas of populated areas of the Zaporizhia region. More than 50 Ukrainian Armed Forces fighters, an armored combat vehicle, 10 vehicles and two electronic warfare stations were destroyed.

Tactical aviation, unmanned aerial vehicles, missile forces and artillery of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation defeated ammunition and fuel depots, the infrastructure of military airfields, the assembly site of unmanned boats, as well as temporary locations of Ukrainian armed formations and foreign mercenaries in 142 areas.

Four guided aerial bombs, 17 US-made HIMARS multiple rocket launchers and 417 aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles were shot down by air defense systems.

According to the Ministry of Defense, since the beginning of the special military operation, 671 aircraft, 284 helicopters, 152241 unmanned aerial vehicles, 661 anti-aircraft missile systems, 29484 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1725 multiple rocket launchers, 35082 field artillery and mortars, 62503 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed.
