The memory of the terrible consequences of the strike of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on the dormitory and the pedagogical college in Starobilsk of the Lugansk People's Republic (LNR) must be passed on to future generations. Valeria Tsvetova, a student at LGPU, reported this to Izvestia on May 25.

"The children who have suffered are those who have not yet seen life, have not really lived, have not learned anything, have not seen anything, it is very disappointing for this. I think it is absolutely necessary to pass this memory from generation to generation. So that the future generation of our city knows how difficult it was for us when we were going through these years," she said.

Another student, Bogdan Ponomarev, stressed that everyone who came into contact with the tragedy will remember the dead and grieve for them.

"Words cannot describe what has been done. The children just came to study, to get an education. They will remain in our hearts, in our memory, and we will not forget it," he assured.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces attacked the college in Starobilsk on May 22. As a result of the incident, 21 people died, most of whom were students born in 2006-2007. A criminal case has been opened under Part 3 of Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Terrorist act"). May 24 and 25 have been declared days of mourning in the LPR.

On the same day, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that Russia had not yet heard official statements from Western countries condemning the actions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Starobilsk. He also congratulated the staff and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation on organizing a trip for journalists to the site of the tragedy. According to him, representatives of the press were able to personally see the scale of the incident, but a number of foreign editorial offices ignored this visit.
