Slope in Pyatigorsk collapsed due to mudslide
In Pyatigorsk, an earth mudslide slid onto the street during heavy rains. One of the slopes collapsed. The soil could not withstand heavy rainfall.
According to the StavropolMedia news agency, it happened on Proletarskaya Street. The head of the city Dmitry Voroshilov said that the road is being cleared with the help of special equipment. There was no information about the victims.
Voroshilov also spoke about the collapse of the Beshtaugorskaya ravine slope. Workers are removing trees that have fallen into the riverbed.
The mayor noted that the capital construction department is drawing up a plan for the construction of protective structures on this section of the road.
The Stavropol Territory is on high alert due to the weather. The storm warning will last for two more days.
