Emergency mode was introduced due to fires in the Yakutia region

In Yakutia, a municipal emergency regime was introduced on the territory of the Tattinsky district. The decision was made due to forest fires.

According to Deputy Minister of Ecology, Nature Management and Forestry, Chief Forester Andrey Konoplev, emergency situations were introduced according to the criteria of involving more than half of the forest fire units in the forestry area.

So far, fires do not pose a threat to settlements and economic facilities, writes IA YakutiaMedia.

As of May 25, there are four active forest fires in Yakutia with an area of 982 hectares and one landscape fire with an area of 2 hectares. 286 people and nine pieces of equipment were involved in extinguishing them. Seven aircraft are involved in the patrol, and an Mi-8 helicopter has been deployed to extinguish the fire.

Since the beginning of the fire season, 45 forest fires have been registered in the republic. Their area exceeded 1.5 thousand hectares. in addition, 41 landscape fires with a total area of more than 1 thousand hectares were recorded. A year ago, on this date, there were 93 forest fires in Yakutia, whose area was 36 thousand hectares, and 176 wildfires with a total area of 5.5 thousand hectares.

Earlier it was reported about the introduction of a regional emergency regime in the Khabarovsk Territory. As of the morning of May 25, 18 forest fires are active in 13 municipalities of the region. Their total area is more than 25 thousand hectares.
