The Kremlin announced a meeting between Putin and the governor of the Omsk region Khotsenko.

Russian President Vladimir Putin will meet with Omsk Region Governor Vitaly Khotsenko on Monday, May 25. This was announced by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov during his briefing.

"There are working meetings and internal meetings. Among others, the Governor of the Omsk region, Vitaly Khotsenko, will be at the reception with the President," he said.

Peskov clarified that the Russian leader is currently working in the Kremlin and there are no major public events on his schedule for today. The President of the Russian Federation consistently continues to deal with regional issues and intends to hear a detailed report on them.

Among other things, according to Peskov, preparations are underway for the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF), on the occasion of which Putin's greeting was published on the Kremlin's website.

On the same day, the press service of the President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, reported on Putin's visit to Astana, which will take place from May 27 to May 29. It was specified that during the trip, the two leaders would discuss the current state and prospects for strengthening the comprehensive strategic interstate partnership, as well as participate in the Eurasian Economic Forum and the meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council.
