AvtoVAZ has upgraded production of Lada Niva

AvtoVAZ expanded the capabilities of the Lada Niva Legend SUV body welding line during the next stage of production modernization, which was carried out in the first half of May. The relevant information follows from the video of the meeting of the head of the automobile company Maxim Sokolov with the plant's employees, published on the corporate channel in the Maks messenger

So, if previously the welding line was designed for 22 bodies per hour, now its capacity has been expanded to 30 bodies per hour. It is noted that the Niva body welding shop is considered one of the most robotic at AvtoVAZ.

AvtoVAZ has also upgraded the Niva SUV body painting line. It took place in two stages: during the winter corporate vacation and in May. Heat exchangers, pumps, irrigation circuits, a fully equipped control cabinet and rectifiers have been replaced.

"The modernization has significantly improved the coating quality during painting," AvtoVAZ said.

On May 22, it was reported that AvtoVAZ will release a limited batch of the updated Lada Niva Travel, the cars are distinguished by the upholstery of the seats made of genuine leather. A total of 1,000 such SUVs will be produced.
