Ukraine announced the preparation of defense near the border with Belarus

In the Volyn region of Ukraine, preparations have begun for all-round defense in settlements located near the border with Belarus. This was reported on May 25 by the newspaper "Country.ua" with reference to the head of the Kovel district administration Olga Cheren.

According to the newspaper, scenarios of a possible complete evacuation of the population in case of threats are also being considered for the border territories.

"In Volhynia, they began to prepare all—round defense in settlements near the border with Belarus," the publication's Telegram channel says.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said on May 21 that Belarus should be aware of the consequences of allegedly preparing aggressive actions against Ukraine.
