Global oil prices are declining during trading amid uncertainty surrounding the negotiations between the United States and Iran on the settlement of the conflict. As of May 25, this is evidenced by trading data on the Investing platform.

As of 09:00 Moscow time, the price of August futures for Brent crude oil decreased by 3.2% to $95 per barrel. July futures for WTI crude oil fell by 5.26% to $91.52 per barrel.

Pressure on the market is exerted by the lack of clarity regarding the prospects for negotiations between Washington and Tehran. Investors fear that possible changes in the sanctions policy may affect the volume of Iranian oil supplies to the world market.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on May 14 that there are a significant number of countries interested in purchasing Russian energy resources. According to him, the demand for Russian energy resources remains regardless of external constraints.
