In Kharkiv, the number of deserters from the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) who leave their units with weapons has increased significantly. This was reported on May 25 in the Russian law enforcement agencies.

"The Ukrainian criminal chronicle confirms that the number of deserters who escaped from the Armed Forces units with weapons has increased significantly in Kharkiv," RIA Novosti quoted the security forces as saying.

On May 21, Russian law enforcement agencies reported that soldiers of the 31st border detachment of the State Border Service of Ukraine were deserting to Romania while serving at the border.
