Teachers and educators in schools and kindergartens in Latvia hid children in basements during the attack by Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). This was announced on May 25 by Alexey Yesakov, Vice-president of the Coordination Center of Compatriots (ECCC).

"People sent children from kindergartens and schools to basements," he said in an interview with RIA Novosti.
