An American Boeing C-17A Globemaster III transport aircraft of the United States Air Force, which took off from Romania, transmitted an alarm signal during a flight over Europe. This was confirmed on May 24 by data from the Flightradar24 service.

The flight crew transmitted the emergency code Squawk 7700, which is used to indicate an emergency on board.

Later it became known that the flight landed at the US Air Force base in Germany.
