A special military operation to protect the civilian population of Donbass has been conducted by Russia since February 24, 2022. Russian military personnel continue to conduct a special military operation. Units of the North group of forces improved their tactical position, defeating the enemy in Sumy and Kharkiv regions. The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) lost up to 175 people, two armored vehicles, 20 vehicles, two guns, an electronic warfare station and a US-made AN/TPQ-36 counter-battery radar. The Dnepr group of troops defeated the Ukrainian Armed Forces brigades in the Zaporizhia region. More than 50 military personnel, an armored vehicle, 10 vehicles, three guns and four electronic warfare stations were eliminated.

Units of the Zapad group of forces occupied more advantageous positions, attacking the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the areas of Balakleya, Monachinovka, Krasny Liman and Sidorovo. The enemy's losses amounted to 180 military personnel, three armored vehicles, 13 vehicles, three artillery pieces and three electronic warfare stations. Meanwhile, the units of the Southern Group of Forces improved their position along the front line in the DPR. More than 90 militants, a tank, an infantry fighting vehicle, two armored vehicles, 18 vehicles, four field artillery guns, a Grad MLRS and an Israeli RADA RPS-42 radar were eliminated.

Units of the Center group of forces have strengthened their tactical positions in the DPR and the Dnipropetrovsk region. More than 305 soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, armored personnel carriers, four armored vehicles, 12 vehicles, two artillery installations (including Bogdan self-propelled guns) were destroyed and four electronic warfare stations. In addition, units of the Vostok group of forces have advanced into the depth of the defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Zaporizhia and Dnipropetrovsk regions. The enemy's losses exceeded 265 people; an armored personnel carrier, two armored vehicles, eight vehicles and a field artillery cannon were destroyed.

Seven guided aerial bombs, six Czech-made Vampire rockets and 320 drones were shot down by air defense systems.

Since the beginning of the special military operation, 671 aircraft, 284 helicopters, 151,824 unmanned aerial vehicles, 661 anti-aircraft missile systems, 29,468 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,725 multiple rocket launchers, 35,075 field artillery and mortars, 62,415 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed.
