The head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky, turned to the West on May 24 after the Russian retaliatory strike on Ukraine.

"It is important that Ukraine is not alone. Solutions are needed from both the United States of America and Europe," he said in a post on his Telegram channel.

According to him, the Ukrainian militants failed to shoot down all the ballistics and most of the hits were in Kiev.

On May 24, the Ministry of Defense announced that the Russian Armed Forces, in response to Kiev's terrorist attacks against civilian infrastructure, launched a massive retaliatory strike, including the Oreshnik missile system, at Ukrainian military command facilities. In particular, this was a response to the terrorist attack by the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the dormitory of the Starobilsk College of the Lugansk People's Republic. The targets of the strike have been achieved, the ministry assured.

Russian President Vladimir Putin called a terrorist attack on a college dormitory. He also noted that the attack was not related to the military infrastructure, as there is none in the area. In the LPR, May 24 and 25 were declared days of mourning for the dead. They bring flowers and toys to the college in Starobilsk.
