"About 30-40 people were trapped under the rubble after the collapse of a nine—storey building under construction in the city of Angeles, Pampanga province, early on Sunday morning," the publication says.
It is specified that at the moment search and rescue operations are continuing. About 10 people were able to get out on their own. According to the head of the city's information department, Jay Pelayo, the people under the rubble are construction workers.
According to the TV channel, the collapse occurred after heavy Saturday rains and winds.
