Missing Netflix actor McLean found dead in Canada
Missing 45-year-old Netflix actor Stuart Maclean has been found dead in Canada. The remains were found in the same area of Lions Bay where he lived, the CBC television channel reported on May 22.
"As the investigation continues, homicide investigators are working to collect and analyze evidence, review CCTV footage, and conduct interviews to establish a timeline of Mr. McLean's activities through May 15, 2026. We are exploring all available leads while we seek answers for Mr. McLean's family, friends and loved ones," said Corporal Esther Tapper of the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT).
The Royal Canadian Mounted Police Squamish police received notification on May 18 that McLean, also known as Stu McLean, had not been in touch since May 15. He was last seen at a house in Lions Bay, an area 20 km from Vancouver.
McLean is known for his roles in the TV series "Virgin River" and "Murder in a Small Town." On Friday, IHIT announced the identification of the remains. The investigation is ongoing.
The Metro newspaper reported on April 16 that actor Ethan Jamison, who is known for his role in the film "The Hunger Games," was charged with three counts of attempted murder with a semi-automatic weapon. The actor is currently under arrest, and the next court hearing in his case is scheduled for April 30.
