Rubio announced progress on resolving the conflict in Iran
The United States has made progress in resolving the Iranian conflict. This was announced on May 23 by US Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
"There is some progress. I don't have any news for you right now, but it may come a little later," Rubio said.
The Secretary of State stressed that the issue with Iran must be resolved one way or another. Iran should never possess nuclear weapons, the straits should be opened without paying for passage, and Tehran should get rid of enriched uranium, he recalled.
Rubio noted that the US president always prefers to solve such problems through diplomacy, and now work is underway in this direction.
American leader Donald Trump said on May 18 that Washington is currently not ready to make any concessions during negotiations with Tehran on ending the war. According to him, Tehran wants to make a "deal more than ever" because it realizes that the United States can cause "even more pain" by resuming strikes.
