The leadership of the Mauthausen International Committee is deliberately pursuing an immoral line by not inviting Moscow and Minsk to mourning events. This was announced by the Russian Foreign Ministry on May 23.

"In recent years, the leadership of the Mauthausen International Committee has been deliberately pursuing an immoral line towards the Russian and Belarusian sides and has not invited official representatives of our countries to the solemn funeral events," RIA Novosti quoted the agency as saying.

The Foreign Ministry stressed that such actions by the committee are absurd and contrary to the spirit of preserving the memory of the victims of Nazism. The Russian flag continues to fly on the territory of the memorial complex in Mauthausen, despite the unwillingness of the organizers to invite representatives of the Russian Federation and Belarus.
