The doctor spoke about the condition of the victims of the Ukrainian Armed Forces attack in Starobilsk

One of the victims of the attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on the dormitory of the pedagogical college of the city of Starobilsk of the Lugansk People's Republic (LNR) is in extremely serious condition, the condition of six victims is assessed as stable serious. This was announced on May 23 by Dmitry Katukha, Deputy Chief Physician for Surgical Work at the LRKB.

"At the moment, there are seven patients in the Republican Clinical Hospital. Four of them are in intensive care units. And three have already been transferred to hospitals of a medical institution," he said.

Katukha added that all the injured are receiving the necessary treatment and undergoing examination. There is currently no need to transfer patients to other medical institutions.

Alexey Kuznetsov, Assistant Minister of Health of the Russian Federation, told TASS that the victims are being advised remotely by Moscow specialists from the National Research Medical Center of Traumatology and Orthopedics. Priorova, NMITS of Surgery named after Vishnevsky, Sechenov University, and the Russian Ministry of Health's RDCB. They get all the help they need. Psychologists continue to work with the victims' relatives.

On May 22, the Ukrainian Armed Forces attacked the academic building and the dormitory of the Starobilsk College. At the time of the impact, 86 children aged 14 to 18 were there. A criminal case was opened into the attack under Part 3 of Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Terrorist act"). As a result of the incident, the five-storey dormitory building collapsed to the second floor. On May 23, the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported 10 dead and 38 injured. Another 11 people are missing.

Russian President Vladimir Putin called a terrorist attack on a college dormitory. He also noted that the attack was not related to the military infrastructure, as there is none in the area.
