In Murmansk, a pensioner lost 1.6 million rubles due to fraudsters. The man was trying to buy a car.

According to the victim, he found a suitable offer in March. The man contacted the "manager", and he told him that the car was located abroad. Taking into account the customs fee, its cost was more than 2.6 million rubles. They demanded a full prepayment from the pensioner, writes the Bi-port news agency.

The man made several transfers in the amount of 1.6 million rubles. The next operation was suspended by the bank's security service, which made it possible to save part of the pensioner's savings. After the transfers, the "manager" stopped contacting.

A criminal case has been opened on this fact.

In Ussuriysk, a 53-year-old woman lost more than 4 million rubles due to fraudsters. The scammers convinced the victim that an account was allegedly opened in her name to withdraw funds to an "unfriendly country." To secure the savings, the interlocutors suggested that the woman give the money to the courier.
