Production of the new Valdai 45 Pro tractor has begun in Russia

Production of the new Valdai 45 Pro mainline tractor has started at the Nizhny Novgorod Trucks plant. As the press service of the Modern Transport Technologies (CTT) distributor company informed Izvestia on May 22, the tractor was the result of a deep technical reworking of the first version of the car, taking into account the requests of Russian carriers.

Thus, the engine power was increased to 490 hp for reliable operation as part of a road train under full load and on difficult roads, and the gear ratio of the main transmission of the drive axle was reduced to 2,714 to make the train more economical. The volume of fuel tanks has increased to 1,040 liters.

To improve stability, the wheelbase has been increased and the track widened. Externally, the novelty features a redesigned exterior with a different radiator grille and fully LED optics. The instrument cluster in the cabin has been updated, the media system with all-round cameras and the smartphone connection function has been upgraded. The tractor was equipped with a complex of driving assistants, including an emergency braking system, an assist system when starting on ascents, as well as a driver's condition monitoring system.

The production of new products is carried out in full cycle mode, including welding, painting and assembly. The cabins receive enhanced factory insulation, improved noise insulation and anti-corrosion treatment. As for the localization level, Russian telematics systems, tires, batteries, autonomous heaters, glazing elements and other components are currently being installed on the tractor. In parallel, work is underway to link other critical components and assemblies from Russian suppliers, in particular, tractors with domestic engines and gearboxes are already being tested.
