KAMAZ cancelled the transition to a four-day period in June-July
Sergey Kogogin, CEO of KAMAZ, canceled the four-day part-time workweek regime for June-July, established by a decree in March 2026. This was announced by the press service of the Naberezhnye Chelny auto giant on May 22.
"The measures taken by the company's management to develop sales and improve the consumer qualities of cars allowed us to increase the volume of orders for the coming months, which ensured an increase in the production plan," KAMAZ said.
As reported on May 12, KAMAZ has reduced its summer corporate vacation this year. Previously, the vacation was supposed to last three weeks, but now it will be two weeks: employees of the Naberezhnye Chelny auto giant will rest from July 13 to 26. The reason for the adjustment of corporate vacation dates was an increase in orders related to the expansion of sales of new model K5 vehicles, the demand for which is steadily growing, explained at KAMAZ.
Earlier, at a meeting with Sergey Kogogin, the head of the company, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the Russian automotive industry was going through difficult times, but KAMAZ was successfully coping with them. The President noted that despite the crisis in the automotive industry, KAMAZ had increased its contributions to all levels of the federal budget. In addition, the manufacturer's staff was almost completely retained. Kogogin explained that 2022 was a difficult year for the company, but KAMAZ's policy of localizing production helped.
