The opening of the Russian-Chinese economic forum "Amurexpo-2026" took place in Blagoveshchensk. Pavel Puzanov, Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Amur Region, and Jiang Xiaoyang, Consul General of the People's Republic of China in Khabarovsk, pressed the symbolic start button. The event gathered more than 370 participants.

"The Russian-Chinese Economic Forum Amurexpo is one of the main events in the economic calendar of the Far East. For us, it has long ceased to be just an exhibition event, it is a key business platform in the region. The popularity of the forum is growing every year," said Governor Vasily Orlov.

According to him, representatives of more than 30 regions, including Belgorod, Irkutsk, and Murmansk regions, will participate in AMUREXPO-2026. China, Belarus, and Kazakhstan are among the foreign participants.

This year, the forum's program includes over a hundred events, focusing on the development of territories, logistics, tourism, and creative industries. "For the first time, experts from Russia and China will discuss e-commerce and digital interaction. I am confident that this year's Amurexpo forum will become an important platform for the development of Russian-Chinese cooperation. And entrepreneurs will be able to find new opportunities for business development and attracting investments," Orlov emphasized.

For the fourth year in a row, AMUREXPO has been a visiting venue for the Eastern Economic Forum (EEF) and is held jointly with the Roscongress Foundation. The main theme of this year is "Russia and China: the economy of the future".

The deputy Chairman of the Government of the Amur Region noted that the guests will have sessions, business meetings, visits to enterprises, as well as rich cultural, sports and tourism programs. "A number of industry events are being held, one of them is the Russian—Chinese industrial tourism forum Open Industry, which will bring together representatives of more than 40 regions and leading Russian enterprises from May 25 to 26," Puzanov said.
