The import of used cars to Russia from Japan increased by 34%

In the first four months of this year, 72.3 thousand used passenger cars (older than 3 years) were imported from Japan to Russia, which is 34% more than in January-April last year. Sergey Tselikov, director of the Autostat analytical agency, told about this in his Telegram channel on May 22.

Toyota remains the leader in imports from Japan in the brand rating, with 23.3 thousand cars of this brand delivered to Russia in January-April. Honda approached it, its volume reached 22.6 thousand units. It is possible that by the end of the year, the volume of imports of used Honda cars will be greater than Toyota. These two brands account for almost two thirds of imports, the expert noted.

The leaders are followed by Suzuki (6496 units) and Mazda (3942 units), the top five were supplemented by Volkswagen (2832 units), which managed to bypass the Nissan and Mitsubishi brands.

The leader in the model standings remains the Honda Freed with an indicator of 6312 cars. Then there are two more Hondas — Stepwgn and Fit. This was followed by Toyota Corolla, Suzuki Jimny, Toyota Yaris and Honda Vezel. Three Toyotas rounded out the top ten — Raize, Wish and Roomy.
