Summary of the special operation in Ukraine for the week

A special military operation to protect the civilian population of Donbass has been conducted by Russia since February 24, 2022. During the week, in response to Kiev's terrorist attacks on civilian targets in Russia, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation launched massive and five group strikes against enterprises of the military-industrial complex of Ukraine, fuel and energy, transport and port infrastructure facilities used by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, military airfields, assembly shops, storage and launch sites for drones, and unmanned boats, temporary locations of Ukrainian armed formations and foreign mercenaries. The strikes were carried out by precision weapons and attack unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).

The North group of troops liberated the settlements of Volokhovka and Shesterovka in the Kharkiv region in a week. As a result of the actions of Russian servicemen, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) lost more than 1,260 militants, six armored combat vehicles, 119 vehicles, six field artillery guns and 11 electronic warfare stations.

In addition, the Zapad group of troops established control over the settlements of Borovaya and Kutkovka in the Kharkiv region. During the week, the Ukrainian armed forces were defeated, and the Ukrainian Armed Forces lost over 1,290 fighters in this area.

"As a result of the active offensive actions of the units of the Vostok group of forces, the village of Verkhnyaya Tersa, Zaporizhia region, has been liberated. Over the past week, the manpower and equipment of three mechanized, two assault, four amphibious assault brigades, three assault regiments of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, a marine brigade and a defense brigade were defeated," the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement.

In turn, air defense systems shot down 46 guided aerial bombs, three HIMARS multiple rocket launchers, a Flamingo long-range cruise missile, a Neptun-MD long-range guided missile, and 4,184 aircraft-type drones. The forces of the Black Sea Fleet in the northwestern part of the Black Sea destroyed 13 unmanned boats of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

According to the Russian Defense Ministry, since the beginning of the special operation, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have lost 671 aircraft, 284 helicopters, 150,704 UAVs, 661 anti-aircraft missile systems, 29,417 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,724 multiple rocket launchers, 35,040 field artillery and mortars, 62,254 pieces of special vehicles.
