Cassation appeal against Blinovskaya's verdict was filed in court

A complaint against the verdict of blogger Elena Blinovskaya, convicted of tax evasion and money laundering, has been filed with the Second Court of Cassation of General Jurisdiction. This was reported to Izvestia on May 22 in the press service of the instance.

No meeting date has been set.

In March 2025, the court found the "marathon queen" guilty of tax evasion on an especially large scale, money laundering, and illegal circulation of funds of payments and sentenced her to five years in a penal colony.

She will be released in two years or even earlier.

Blinovskaya was released from criminal prosecution under the article on tax evasion due to the expiration of the statute of limitations. According to the investigation, using a business fragmentation scheme, she understated her income and did not pay VAT and personal income tax for the period 2019-2021. As a result, the amount reached over 900 million rubles.

In October 2025, the Moscow City Court commuted the sentence, reducing the term to 4.5 years, and the fine from 1 million to 950 thousand rubles.
