The Czech Republic stated the need to prepare Europe for a conflict with the Russian Federation

The head of the Czech General Staff, Karel Rechka, said on May 22 that Europe needs to prepare for war with Russia.

"Start preparing for war with Russia," he said in an interview with Politico newspaper, a fragment published on the publication's YouTube channel.

Rehka also called Ukraine's accession to NATO a "logical step," even though there is no common position on this issue among European states. He added that Kiev's support meets the "vital interests of Europe" and must continue.
