- The Russian film "The Scenario Room" won the main prize of the international festival
The film "The Writer's Room" won three awards at the WorldMediaFestivals 2026 international festival in Berlin, one of the world's largest contests in the field of media, corporate content and brand storytelling.
The Scenario Room is a meta—comedy made at the junction of genres: short fiction (drama, comedy, noir, space odyssey and even a musical) and documentary investigation.
Three famous artists — Konstantin Khabensky, Yulia Peresild and Sergey Minaev — are discussing possible scenarios for a new film about saving the future while waiting for the director. But at some point, the characters begin to suspect that perhaps they themselves are inside the script. It remains only to understand who collected them here and why.
At the WorldMediaFestivals 2026 festival in Berlin, the film "The Scenario Room" won the:
- Intermedia-Globe Grand Prix in the "Brand Storytelling" nomination;
- Gold Intermedia-Globe Award in the nomination "Corporate Communications: Innovations";
- Gold Intermedia-Globe Award in the nomination "Brand Storytelling: Innovations and Stories about the Future".
"The film is harmonious: it combines strong acting and an unusual script that holds the viewer's attention. The performance of the camera work, the picture, the content from the point of view of the documentary component — all this is in it. But the main thing is that due to the mixing of genres, the film has an unusual structure, and this is the effect that we wanted to achieve. When you watch this movie, at first it seems like it's a feature film, after a while you realize that this is a documentary, but made in a popular form, and by the end it becomes clear that the film is corporate, but it's too late. This approach does not leave industry professionals indifferent," said Vyacheslav Goldfeld, co—founder and CEO of the FreeMotion communications agency and Vice President of Corporate video content at the International Quorum of Motion Pictures Producers Association.
"From the point of view of the attitude to Russian cinema at foreign festivals: it is evaluated on a par with works from other countries, because creative people and experts in their fields are not so politicized. My colleagues at FreeMotion and I are members of the international producers association International Quorum of Motion Pictures Producers, we still communicate a lot with foreign colleagues, we have not been isolated from this process," Goldfeld emphasized.
The project was commissioned by the Sibur petrochemical company and tells about its new scientific developments. The picture was created by the FreeMotion Group communication agency.
