AvtoVAZ has released a limited edition Niva with a genuine leather interior

AvtoVAZ will release a limited batch of the updated Lada Niva Travel, the cars are distinguished by the upholstery of the seats made of genuine leather. A total of 1,000 such SUVs will be produced. In this version, Niva Travel is available in the Techno package at a price starting from 1.91 million rubles, sales have begun. This is stated in the message of the company's press service, which was received by Izvestia on May 22.

Russian-made leather is used in the interior decoration. The 1.1–1.4 mm thick material has been processed by chrome tanning, due to which the skin has acquired high strength and elasticity, while maintaining hygiene and hypoallergenic, AvtoVAZ said. It is stated that the skin is resistant to abrasion, the effects of fuels and lubricants and detergents.

An original design has been developed for the seats: the central part, the side support and the inserts in the headrests of the front seats are made of perforated leather. The rear seats are finished according to the same principle. The backs of the front seats are embossed with the inscription Niva Travel.

The car is equipped with LED optics, air conditioning, heated windshield and front seats, 17-inch alloy wheels, a multimedia system with a navigator, parking sensors and a rear-view camera with a washer. SUVs are equipped with a 1.8-liter engine.

AvtoVAZ announced on May 20 that the company will organize a street exhibition of historical, new and sports cars as part of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) this year. One of them will be the Lada Niva Legend SUV, which has received significant technical and ergonomic improvements.
