Snowless winters in the central regions of Russia will not be a permanent phenomenon, but in the coming years the duration of the traditional Russian winter will decrease significantly. This was announced on May 22 by Alexander Shuvalov, head of the Meteo forecasting center.

"Snowless winters will not become the norm. The traditional Russian winter will simply "shrink", it will become shorter in duration, but it will remain," he said in an interview with TASS.
