Tehran and Washington have not yet reached an agreement, but the contradictions between the parties have decreased. This was reported on May 21 by the Reuters news agency, citing a senior Iranian source.

"There is no agreement with the United States yet, but disagreements have decreased," the article says.

According to the agency's interlocutor, uranium enrichment and Tehran's control over the Strait of Hormuz remain among the controversial issues.

On the same day, Reuters reported on the ban of Iran's supreme leader Mojtaba Khamenei on the export of enriched uranium from the country. It was clarified that the export of radioactive substances outside the country could increase Iran's vulnerability to new attacks from the United States and Israel in the future.
