In the Korsakovsky district of the Sakhalin region, an investigation is underway into the death of a man as a result of a fire. This is reported by the regional SU of the Investigative Committee of Russia.

The fire occurred on Thursday, May 21, in the village of Okhotskoye. A cabin, equipped, judging by the photos from the scene, in a railway carriage, caught fire.

A 50-year-old man died as a result of the fire. Investigators have not recorded any signs of violent death, a forensic medical examination has been appointed to determine the exact cause of death, SakhalinMedia news agency writes.

An investigation has been organized into the incident, which will result in a decision to initiate criminal proceedings. All circumstances are being established.

According to the Agency for Civil Defense, Emergencies and Civil Protection of the Sakhalin region, the fire area was 87 square meters. m. Six people and one piece of equipment were involved in extinguishing.

The same morning, a fire broke out in an apartment building in Lobnya, Moscow region. A 32-year-old woman and a 35-year-old man were killed, and two 11- and three-year-old girls were hospitalized.
