Tolyatti has replaced the production of generators for Lada with imports
NPK Avtopribor Iskra, a member of the Avtopribor Group, has launched import-substituting serial production of automotive generators in Tolyatti. The products are designed for Lada Vesta, Largus and Granta, the new lines are designed to produce up to 700 thousand products per year. On May 21, Izvestia was informed about this by the Industrial Development Fund (AFD).
The generator consists of a rotor and a stator, it converts the mechanical energy of rotation of the crankshaft of the engine into electrical energy, the device powers all on-board electronics of the car. Previously, part of the supply of generators to the AVTOVAZ assembly line was carried out by foreign companies.
After reaching full capacity, NPK Avtopribor Iskra plans to supply AvtoVAZ with up to 480 thousand generators annually. The company is also ready to meet the needs of other Russian car factories working to deepen the localization of manufactured equipment. The claimed resource of the generator is 360 thousand kilometers with a warranty of 100 thousand km.
The total investment in the project amounted to 763 million rubles. The Federal Reserve Fund provided 567 million rubles at 3% per annum under the Automotive Components program. It is noted that this is the 1200th production opened with the participation of the FRP. The loan funds were used to purchase a rotor assembly line, stator assembly and final assembly of generators, equipment for product testing and quality control — a durability test stand, a bursting machine and tooling.
"Today, the Samara Region is an absolute leader in the number of projects we have supported in this area. With the financial participation of FRP in the region, they develop and produce a wide range of components for cars: from engines to instrument panels, headlights, seats and wheels. In total, under the Automotive Components program, the FRP has financed almost 100 projects totaling 125 billion rubles," said Roman Petrutsa, director of the FRP.
Next, it is planned to put into operation plants for the production of steering wheels, belts and airbags, camshafts, as well as electric motors for ABS, ESP and cooling systems, said Daniil Chernenko, Managing Director of Avtopribor Group, member of the Board of Directors of NPK Avtopribor LLC.
Earlier, on March 13, it was reported that the Sollers group is preparing to launch a new production of steering wheels, airbags and seat belts, as well as electronic control units at the UAZ industrial site. This project is supported by the FRP, as well as the production of automotive mastics and adhesives for domestic cars, which was launched in March by the Tolyatti enterprise Polad.
