New Toyota Land Cruiser FJ SUV may appear in Russia

The new Toyota Land Cruiser FJ SUV may be available for sale in Russia under the alternative import scheme. This was reported by Rossiyskaya Gazeta on May 21.

In particular, Nikolai Ivanov, Director of the Rolf New Car Sales Department, spoke about plans to supply the Land Cruiser FJ to the Russian Federation. He noted that the company would first study its price positioning in the Russian market, after which it would determine its future sales strategy and supply volume.

Sales of the new Toyota Land Cruiser FJ started in Japan in mid-May. The SUV is offered in one package at a price of 4.5 million yen, which is about 2.1 million rubles translated at the current exchange rate.

The name of the novelty refers to the FJ Cruiser model, which was produced in 2006-2022. The model is equipped with an atmospheric 2.7-liter four-cylinder engine with a capacity of 163 hp (246 Nm), which is combined with a six-speed automatic transmission and an all-wheel drive system with a rear differential lock.
