The son of businessman Sergey Kornilov, who caused a massive accident in a Mercedes in Nizhny Novgorod, was picked up from a restaurant by his brother. The footage is published by Izvestia on May 21.

The video shows that Kornilov is barely able to stand on his feet, and two comrades are helping him to walk. Kornilov's brother was also nearby, justifying his relative. When asked about his brother's behavior, he replied that such situations "happen."

In addition, the Izvestia correspondent noted that the son of a Nizhny Novgorod businessman had breakfast for more than 14 thousand rubles and fell asleep in a restaurant overlooking the river the day after the massive accident. The young man came to the establishment, accompanied by personal guards, ordered a plate of Italian pasta and several glasses of white wine, and then took off his shoes and decided to lie down on the couch.

Kornilov, driving a Mercedes, caused a massive accident on May 21 at the Pokhvalinsky Congress in Nizhny Novgorod. Later, eyewitness footage of the accident began to appear on social media, showing deployed and dented cars, including Kornilov's smashed yellow Mercedes.

Later, in a conversation with Izvestia, Kornilov stated that he was sober at the time of the accident and simply "hit the car." At the same time, the young man claimed the opposite in his social networks — shortly before the incident, he posted a video in which he admitted that he had drunk a lot, and after the accident he posed on the hood of a crashed car.
