The State Traffic Inspectorate will conduct a Velokurrier raid in Moscow
The Moscow State Traffic Inspectorate will hold a three-day Bike Courier raid event, which is aimed at preventing offenses among delivery service providers. The agency announced this in the Maks messenger on May 21.
The raid will take place from 22 to 24 May. During the event, traffic police will remind bike couriers to be attentive on the road, respectful to pedestrians when traveling on sidewalks, to use protective equipment with retroreflective elements, and to comply with the requirements of road signs and traffic lights.
Last time, the Velokurrier raid took place in Moscow on March 27-29. During the event, traffic inspectors compiled more than 4.5 thousand administrative materials for traffic violations against persons providing delivery services using personal mobility equipment.
On May 19, the authorities of Solnechnogorsk near Moscow imposed a complete ban on movement, parking and placement of electric scooters of kicksharing companies in the district. Electric scooter rental services have been banned in Lobnya, Moscow Region, since May 13. A similar ban has been in effect within the Ramenskoye District since April 20.
