The ice arena in Severomorsk is being reconstructed

Reconstruction of the ice arena has begun in Severomorsk, Murmansk region. The pupils of DYuSSh-3 are engaged in it. After the work is completed, they will receive a new sports facility.

The installation of new metal structures has begun at the facility. The old structures were removed. The contractor reinforced the frame for the foundation, equipped a drainage system for groundwater drainage, laid sewer networks, Bi-port news agency writes with reference to the regional Ministry of Construction.

Future roof panels will be installed on the new metal structures. During the design, the specialists took into account wind and snow loads in order to make the frame-tent structure of the ice arena more reliable.

Earlier it was reported that a ski trail was improved and expanded in Severomorsk. It is very popular among professionals and amateurs. Their wishes were taken into account during the work. Due to the expansion of the route, the finishing distance was moved from the territory of the cadet corps to the main route.
