- The Moscow State Duma has established one-time payments to counselors of children's camps
On May 21, during the 136th meeting, deputies of the Moscow Regional Duma adopted a law providing for additional payments for camp counselors. This was reported on the website of the Moscow State Duma on May 21.
"The bill was introduced by the governor of the Moscow region. The bill proposes to establish an additional measure of social support for counselors working in state camps in the Moscow region, as well as in municipal camps located in the Moscow Region," said Andrei Kiryukhin, Minister of Social Development of the Moscow Region.
According to him, the support measure will be provided in the form of a one-time cash payment. Counselors who work in the camp for at least 42 calendar days from May 29 to August 31 will be able to receive it. This corresponds to three shifts of 14 days or two shifts of 21 days.
The Moscow City Duma clarified that the amount of the payment will be 70 thousand rubles. According to preliminary calculations, more than 500 people will be able to use the support measure. Over 37 million rubles have been allocated from the budget of the Moscow Region for these purposes.
In addition, Chairman of the Moscow State Duma Igor Bryntsalov noted that the measure should be an incentive for young people to choose the profession of a counselor. According to him, the main task is to conduct a high-level summer wellness campaign.
On May 4, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin announced the importance of creating comfortable conditions for children's summer recreation in Russia. He noted the need to pay special attention to the quality and safety of children's camps, as well as the development of their infrastructure. Dozens of residential buildings, medical centers and canteens are updated annually as part of the modernization program.
