Four administrative materials were filed against 21-year-old Sergey Kornilov, who is the son of an entrepreneur, after he provoked a massive road accident in Nizhny Novgorod. This was reported on May 21 in the Main Directorate (GU) of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Nizhny Novgorod region.

"Four administrative materials have been compiled against the 21-year—old driver," the agency said in a statement on its VKontakte social network page.

We are talking about cases in accordance with art. 12.26 ("Failure by the driver of a vehicle to comply with the requirement to undergo a medical examination for intoxication"), Part 4 of art. 12.15 ("Driving in violation of traffic rules into a lane intended for oncoming traffic or onto tram tracks in the opposite direction"), Part 2 of art. 12.37 ("Failure of the vehicle owner to fulfill the obligation established by federal law to insure his civil liability") and art. 12.33 ("Damage to roads, railway crossings or other road structures").

It was noted that when checking the young man, it turned out that he had already been repeatedly brought to administrative responsibility before this accident. The accident itself occurred on May 20 at about 14:00 Moscow time. As a result, no one was injured. The statement of the regional Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs is accompanied by a picture in which the businessman's son is posing freely on the hood of his yellow Mercedes against the background of two damaged cars and nearby owners.

Izvestia learned about the accident caused by Kornilov on May 21. The young man was the child of the CEO of the State Corporation (GC) Louisaur, who died in 2024. This organization is engaged in the creation of special equipment, metal products, as well as the sale and maintenance of machines. In the footage that appeared online, the culprit of the accident behaved rudely.
