The festival "OURS IN THE CITY" will be held in St. Petersburg

The 15th OUR IN THE CITY Festival will be held at the St. Petersburg Ice Palace on May 23. The Northern capital celebrates two important anniversaries for the cultural life of the city: the 45th anniversary of the Leningrad Rock Club and the 25th anniversary of the NASHE Radio – Saint Petersburg radio station.

Iconic musicians will take part in the festival: the bands ALICE, PICNIC, AVIA, Vyacheslav Butusov and the Symphokino project, for whom the Leningrad Rock Club became a launching pad where they talked and sang about what they believed in. Oleg Garkusha is a special guest. The audience will be immersed in the atmosphere of the era of rock clubs, eyewitness accounts and unique archival evidence.

The festival will be hosted by the hosts of the Show "Lifts" on our Radio in Moscow — Alexander Bon, Yana Lukyanova and Igor Pankov, as well as colleagues from St. Petersburg: Alexey Petrovsky, Denis Krasin, Katya Vinogradova, Valera Zhuk.

Congratulations to our Radio were conveyed by the leader of the rock band "Alice" Konstantin Kinchev, noting that the work of radio is important in the era of streaming.

"Congratulations to OUR Radio on the anniversary. We had different periods in our relationship, but one thing remained unchanged — the love of music. And what could be more important than love? Nothing. Streaming games are all about passing through. "And music is eternal," as it was said in one wonderful movie. And I agree with that. Happy anniversary!" said Kinchev.

According to Edmund Shklyarsky, the leader of the rock band Picnic, our Radio can be called the mouthpiece of rock music in Russia.

"25 years is such a gorgeous date! First of all, congratulations, and secondly, what is important to us: not so long ago we presented a specific project "Picnic Electrum", in which the hits of the band sounded in an electronic arrangement, and played it on our Radio. It's nice that the radio station is ready to experiment.: It's always interesting for both the audience and the musicians," said Shklyarsky.

Representatives of both Leningrad and Sverdlovsk rock clubs will perform at the NASHI IN THE CITY festival, so the concert will become a place of strength for music lovers from different parts of the country.

"The Sverdlovsk Rock Club has produced a lot of good, outstanding rock musicians. How does it differ from Leningrad? Maybe even more text content. The verbal content of the Sverdlovsk rock club is a bit tougher. But since I'm inside the Leningrad process, it's probably a little difficult for me to fully evaluate. The audience can better identify the differences between one rock club and another. And just at the NASHI IN THE CITY festival, you can experience all this," the musician noted.

Residents of St. Petersburg and visitors to the city will come just to remember the holiday, shudder and hear familiar songs, says Shklyarsky. In the meantime, the performers are actively preparing to meet the public.

"We don't have any special traditions before going on stage. There is a tradition, probably medieval, that you can't eat sunflower seeds, but no one eats sunflower seeds before a concert. We need to check all the monitors so that the guitars start playing, the batteries are inserted, because without this nothing will play. And the most important thing is to have 220 volts, then everyone will hear what the musicians want to convey," the Picnic leader added.
