Dorofeev's puck helped Vegas defeat Colorado in the NHL playoffs.

The Vegas Golden Knights hockey Club defeated the Colorado Avalanche in the first match of the National Hockey League (NHL) semifinal playoff series. The match took place on the ice of the Ball Arena in Denver and ended with a score of 4:2.

Dylan Coghlan, Brett Howden, Nick Dowd, and Russian forward Pavel Dorofeev scored goals for Vegas. Gabriel Landeskog and Russian Valery Nichushkin scored for Colorado. In addition, Colorado's leader Nathan McKinnon scored an assist.

After the victory, Vegas took the lead in the series — 1-0. The team will also play the second match against Colorado on May 23 in Denver, after which two more games will be held in Paradise on the Knights' home ice.

HC Montreal Canadiens defeated the Buffalo Sabres in the 1/4 finals of the National Hockey League (NHL) playoffs on May 19 and advanced to the semifinals with a score of 3:2 in overtime. The Canadian club won for the 17th time in the seventh match in the NHL playoffs.
