The expert spoke about the possibility of heirs to receive compensation for deposits of the USSR

The state compensation program for deposits of Sberbank of the USSR issued before June 20, 1991 continues to operate in Russia. Yulia Finogenova, Professor of the Department of State and Municipal Finance at Plekhanov Russian University of Economics, told about this on May 21.

"The compensation amount is calculated as the product of the deposit balance as of 06/20/1991 multiplied by the coefficient (depending on the deposit retention period) and the multiplicity. Previously paid compensation is deducted from the result. If the deposit is closed in 1996-2026, the coefficient will be 1," the expert explained in an interview with the Prime agency.
