On May 21, Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Navy Alexander Moiseev congratulated the Pacific Fleet on the 295th anniversary of its formation. The text of the greeting is published on the website of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
"Thousands of servicemen of the Pacific Fleet have been awarded state and departmental awards during the special military operation, and they are in the same ranks with the Heroes of the Great Patriotic War," the Commander—in-chief's congratulatory telegram says.

He emphasized the role of the marines of the 55th Guards Kursk Orders of Zhukov and Suvorov Marine Division named after twice Hero of Russia M. E. The commander-in-chief also stated that the personnel of the Pacific Fleet continues the traditions of its predecessors, ensures the safety of maritime communications, protects fleet bases and Russia's interests in the oceans.
Moiseev called the history of the Pacific Fleet a chronicle of heroism, courage and outstanding achievements. He recalled that during the Great Patriotic War, tens of thousands of Pacific sailors participated in the battles near Moscow, Leningrad, Stalingrad, stormed Konigsberg and Berlin, and liberated South Sakhalin and the Kuril Islands.
"On my own behalf and on behalf of the Military Council of the Navy, I congratulate you, veterans, and all personnel on the 295th anniversary of the founding of the Pacific Fleet," Moiseev said.
The Pacific Fleet, during a survey of the waters of Peter the Great Bay on May 14, discovered a ship that sank at the beginning of the twentieth century. It was clarified that on May 18, 1906, the steamer hit a mine off the island of Askold. The crew managed to leave the ship in the boats. For many years, the exact location of the vessel could not be determined due to the difficult navigation area, fog and poor visibility.
On April 7, the Pacific Fleet reported that a detachment of ships made a business call at the port of Sihanoukville in the Kingdom of Cambodia. The squad included the corvettes "Perfect" and "Sharp". The crews were met at the pier by representatives of the Cambodian Navy, as well as Anatoly Borovik, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Kingdom.
